Jennifer Taves is a living unicorn, mermaid and feral cat all rolled into one awesome package. This kitty has been leading a charmed life since she designed her first costume at age 13 before lighting up the sky like a flame at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art, made famous by the film Fame.
She graduated FIT with degrees in Accessories Design and Fashion Design, designed costumes for off-broadway shows and created wearable works of art for a Who’s Who of fashion icons including Kim Hicks Couture, and America’s favorite costume designer Rubie’s America Costumes.
Jennifer is the Founder, Lead Designer and CEO of Costumegasm!, Inc. It’s like a foodgasm you get to wear and share. The company specializes in creating bespoke and ready-to-wear designs, including fantastic headpieces, mesmerizing mermaid tails, spectacular dancewear, luscious leggings, gorgeous gloves, comfy and colorful coats, and mysterious masks.
